Generation Women Sydney — Love is Love: The Pride Show

  • Generation Women Sydney 354 Bourke Street Surry Hills, NSW, 2010 Australia (map)

This is the Pride Show you don’t want to miss. Our storytellers are opening up about love, identity, and courage — stories that bring home what Pride is all about. It’s a celebration of belonging and bravery, with stories that remind us that love (and living authentically) always wins.

Our performer line-up:

Team 20s: Izzy Calero-Rivarola is a 27-year-old neurodivergent, queer Latina stay-at-home mum and podcast co-host. She’s passionate about respectful parenting, creativity and self-love. She previously worked in disability and LGBTQIA+ intersectional employment support and held a position on the board of directors for Wear It Purple. Her mission is to inspire authenticity and celebrate every brain’s unique brilliance.

Team 30s: Brandy Tsang  is a Hong Kong-born, Sydney-raised Director and Managing Legal Counsel at a global consulting firm. A proud lesbian, she leads Pride across Australia and New Zealand, empowering LGBTQIA+ folks to bring their whole selves to work. Brandy also currently serves as President of Professional Women Sydney Toastmasters Club, where she finds joy in helping women level up in public speaking.

Team 40s: Annaliese Constable is a storyteller and comedian proud to have been a Deadly Funny national finalist in 2023. Annaliese worked in queer health for over two decades and is a regular contributor to Story Club and Queerstories. Well versed in treading the fine line between vulnerability and hilarity, Annaliese’s 2025 Sydney Comedy Festival show, Mad Constable, was wildly successful with sell-out crowds.

Team 50s: Lesbian/wifey/auntie/childless cat lady Jane O’Keefe brings a blend of intuition and passion to everything she does. Having navigated a near-death experience, Jane is now fiercely passionate about embracing every moment. She’s also a psychologist and the founding creative director behind the iconic feminist Mardi Gras float, ‘The Itty Bitty Titty Committee’.

Team 60s: Jane Becker is an award-winning visual artist who graduated art school in 1980s Sydney. Eleven solo shows and numerous group shows later, she also works in scenic design and production for major events. Jane has been involved with Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras for over 30 years. She is currently drawing a graphic memoir.

Team 70s: Shauna Jensen is an accomplished vocalist with a diverse career spanning Australia’s live music and recording scenes. She’s performed internationally and toured with icons like Jimmy Barnes and Cold Chisel. Known for her soulful, versatile voice, Shauna has sold out shows, including her celebrated Aretha Franklin Songbook at the Sydney Opera House.

Generation Women is an award-winning cross-generational storytelling night founded in New York in 2017, Sydney in 2018 and Melbourne in 2020. Each month, six women of note read an original piece on a theme. Of those, one is in her 20s, her 30s, her 40s, her 50s, her 60s and her 70s+.

This event is proudly presented by Generation Women Australia, founded by Donna Logue. The event will be hosted by Jen Ward. Generation Women was created by Georgia Clark.
