Become a Storyteller

Every show starts with one woman deciding her story is worth telling.

Could that be you?

What it is

Not a speech. Not a panel. A real story, told by you.

Generation Women Australia is a live storytelling show featuring six women across six decades, 20s through to 70s and beyond, each sharing a true personal story on a single theme. Stories are told in chronological age order, creating a powerful thread across generations.

This is not a panel, presentation or opinion piece. It's a personal story from your own life, honest, human and told in your own voice.

You don't need experience. You need a story worth telling and we'll help you edit and shape it.

A note on format & cultural safety

We are committed to creating a respectful and inclusive experience for all storytellers. This process and wording has been reviewed with guidance from First Nations cultural advisors.

We recognise that cultural perspectives and storytelling approaches can differ, including how stories are shared or ordered. Our format is not adaptable, if it doesn't feel like the right fit, we completely understand and encourage you to apply only if it feels aligned.

We welcome all women, cis and trans and any non-binary people comfortable in women's spaces.

Your story is worth telling.
