The M Words: Stories of
menstruation, motherhood and menopause

We’ve been told to whisper about periods, hide the hot flushes and pretend motherhood is neat and tidy. This night throws the doors wide open. Six storytellers across six decades share real stories of bleeding, birthing, parenting, ageing and everything in between. These aren’t ‘women’s issues’ — they’re human stories that shape us all.

If you’ve ever felt left out of the conversation or carried a story about your body you weren’t sure you could share, this night is for you. You’ll leave laughing, nodding, maybe even crying… but most of all, knowing you’re not alone.

What people are saying

I didn’t know what to expect — I left feeling like I’d been seen. One of the best nights I’ve had in years.

Genuinely funny, genuinely moving. The stories stayed with me for weeks. Brought three friends to the next one.

Jess T., 35 · Attended March 2026

I’ve been three times and cried every single one. In the best possible way. This show is unlike anything else.
